Interested in a heater upgrade?
The standard KIP heaters from Harvia have been the default choice of our saunas for many years now. They usually can reach 180F to 195F and take about 45-60 minutes to get there. If this is what you have and you are looking for something that can soar higher in less time, we recommend an upgrade.
Available upgrade options from Harvia:
We recommend either Virta or Cilindro heaters. Not only can they get hotter and in less time, but they are also capable of having Xenio digital controller unlike the standard KIP heater (which has physical dials). This means that you can turn on your sauna from the push of a button plus other cool features.
We also have a Xenio WiFi remote kit available on these units now that will allow you to turn on your heater from your phone app! The WiFi upgrade option will only be available on those heaters with existing Xenio digital controls.
Note that the Cilindro with physical dials can NOT be upgraded at this time.
Reasons to upgrade your heater:
Both Virta and Cilindro heat up faster
The standard KIP heater takes about an hour to reach maximum temperature. These upgrades can save approximately 15 minutes of time, each and every time.
Different climates
If you live in a cold climate, the performance of the heater will be degraded. A heater upgrade can help make sure that the sauna will reach maximum temperature.
Higher elevation
If you live in a place with high elevation, it will also affect the performance of the standard heater. Again, an upgrade will help in this case.
