SUTTON 2-PERSON INDOOR SAUNA
The Sutton is a stylish traditional steam sauna that is ideal for placement where space is limited. This 2-person sauna kit comes ready-to-assemble, with thick wall sections of Nordic Spruce. It features a long upper bench for either reclining on your own or sitting comfortably with one other person. The lower full length step is adjustable and can easily slide in and out from beneath the upper bench.
Heater and stones are essential to a traditional sauna experience. With the room at least heated to 160ºF, the traditional sauna can be enjoyed two ways. The first is called a dry sauna, which lacks any added moisture. The second is called a wet sauna, where you sprinkle water onto the heated stones to create a refreshing burst of steam and added humidity. Traditional indoor saunas use your existing floor, and the Sutton is no exception.
Is the Sutton sauna protected enough to store in a garage or under a covered lanai?
Our indoor saunas are made to be placed indoors, however with some modifications they can be suitable for outdoor use as long as you're not at too high of an elevation. Our indoor saunas do not come with flooring, so that is something to keep in mind as well. When you place an indoor sauna outdoors, we recommend a few different things: a heater upgrade, a door upgrade (on pertinent models), and having the unit in an area protected from elements.

Lumber Type: The Sutton is constructed using thick Nordic spruce pieces of lumber. This sturdy lumber is perfect for a free-standing sauna, and offers plenty of natural insulation.
Heater: You can upgrade the Sutton from the standard 4.5kW KIP heater to a 6kW KIP.

Mid-level handyman and assembly skills are recommended for this sauna. Minimal sawing or modifying certain components may be necessary during the assembly process. Two people can generally do the assembly in 6-8 hours. It is recommended that you review the installation manual in advance to familiarize yourself with the process.

Traditional saunas require very little upkeep. Simply wipe down the interior after each use and check for any dust or debris that you may have tracked in. Read more about long-term care and maintenance here.
